Michèle makes grapefruit marmelade for us (with lemon and tangerine, too) with fruit from the garden at La Jacaranda. Our tree seems to be laden with yellow globes all year round.

We fell in love with magical Patzcuaro in Michoacan, Mexico. So in 2004 we renovated an abandoned house from which to enjoy this colonial pueblo with its Purhepecha Indian presence.

I'm curious, does Michele use pectin in her recipe? I found one that uses pectin you make yourself with the seeds and membranes of the oranges. I like the idea of blending grapefruit and tangerine, must be yummy!
That´s a grapefruit tree? We have an orange tree that has oranges usually, and they taste awful.
!st Mate - No pectin, just sugar. I watched her make it. Will get the lists of proportions and ingredients and post them.
Felipe - Yup, toronja, for sure. Very good flavor, just a little tart, so they made good marmelade.
