We fell in love with magical Patzcuaro in Michoacan, Mexico. So in 2004 we renovated an abandoned house from which to enjoy this colonial pueblo with its Purhepecha Indian presence.

Nice work. The old guy at 7:13 minutes is dead now, I imagine. I haven´t seen him in years. He was nutty as a fruitcake and slept on the street with a machete.
I used to see el viejito almost every day around Plaza Grande. He recognized me because I often gave him a few pesos along with a que le vaya bien. One day I asked if I could take his photograph. He acquiesced but the smile is one of embarrassment. He was so small and bent that I had to get down on my knees to get his face. Then one day I just never saw him again.
I am needing to show ny husband these videos, he hasnt been home since he left in 1998. We call his father in Patzcuaro weekly and send him monies. I hope eventually I can save the money to take my sons to their fathers HOME...Patzuaro, they have family they need to meet.
Ojalá que no tarden en visitar Pátzcuaro. Show him also the video Magical Patzcuaro. You will see it in the right margin of this blog. Saludos.
